The quantity of ear wax each person produces varies and usually leaves the ear naturally. However, an excessive build-up of ear wax can lead to problems. Furthermore, if the ear wax becomes lodged against the eardrum, it may result in discomfort or pain. When this happens, professional ear wax removal is the best way to get it treated. At the Wellhead Practice, we have all methods of ear wax removal available to utilise as needed.

Philip was first introduced and possibly found his inspiration towards Osteopathy at the age of six after an incident involving a Hornby train set and a loft hatch! Fast forward to 2001 and he graduated from the 4-year degree course at the British School of Osteopathy in London.

After working in various practices around the Southeast and an enjoyable 5-month stint of worldwide travel, he found himself moving to Lincolnshire and opening his own practice in 2007. Five years later in 2012 it was moved to the larger current premises and ‘The Wellhead Practice’ was born. Over the years, other medical disciplines were introduced, and we now offer the four main disciplines of Osteopathy, Podiatry, Sports Massage and Ear wax removal seeing more than 130 patients per week.

Using a range of Osteopathic techniques and some medical acupuncture, Philip treats a wide range of problems from head to toe in patients of all ages enjoying the challenge of finding the root cause of a problem and to ‘fix’ the issue for the long term where at all possible.

Outside of work, Philip is kept busy with three teenage daughters, an endless list of DIY tasks and the occasional run.
